This operation stitches the scanned images together. You may need to stitch the scanned images in case you scan an image which is larger than the maximum scan area, for example a poster or a map.
In such case you can scan fragments of the images one by one and later stitch them together into a single image.
To initiate stitching operation check Poster stitch check box located in Scan Assistant window in Additional settings group.
Note: We recommend using Poster stitch together with Start from scanner if it is available.
As soon as the scanning process is finished, Poster Stitch window is automatically opened. In the window you can see the source fragments of a scanned image.
Stitching process is started automatically, if Stitch right after scanning check box was checked, otherwise, press Stitch
button.
After the stitching process is completed and the resulting image is displayed you can adjust resulting stitched image size by selecting options from the Scale combo box.
If you are satisfied with the result, press OK to open Scan Assistant - Image Editor for editing and saving.
If you are not satisfied with the result, click the Scan More Pages button to add more fragments.
After the scanning of additional fragments is done press Stitch button again.
You can delete unnecessary fragments with Delete button.
Note: This operation works well when adjacent images are overlapped as much as possible.
